Bob Alford, retired on December 31, 2016, after serving over 46 years of active law enforcement duty.
Bob served as Johnson County Sheriff for 20 years, prior to that he served as a Special Texas Ranger; he served with the Weatherford PD for 5 months working on one cold case murder investigation. He began his law enforcement career with the Texas Dept of Public Safety, serving 6 years as a State Trooper and 20 years in the Criminal Law Enforcement Division. Bob is currently commissioned as a Special Texas Ranger by the Texas DPS.
Bob and Marty Sheridan Alford; have been married for 32 years; they reside outside of Alvarado, where they raise Longhorn cattle and horses, they now use in the film industry. The Alford’s have a blended family of 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They are active members of Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church.
