Cops N Cruisers 2019
The Cops N Cruisers Auto Show benefitting the Burleson Police Foundation was held on March 30, 2019 hosted by Turnkey Charities. The weather was cold and very windy but over 100 cars participated in the fundraiser to support the Burleson Police Department.
The event raised over $25,000 that will be used by the Foundation to enhance training, equipment, and support the annual awards banquet honoring outstanding service. In 2018, the Foundation purchased a Matrice 210 drone to start the program. The Foundation paid for 1372 hours of advanced training for BPD staff to include training on mental health, narcotic interdiction, supervisor liability, street crimes, forensic evidence, drone pilot training, and many additional training courses that totaled just under $21,000.
